Summary

Dr. Hamza Farooq Gabriel is presently serving as Professor and Director Regional Centre for Water Technologies & Trans-boundary Issues (RCWTTI) at SCEE (NICE), National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Islamabad. Previously he also served as Head of Water Resources Engineering & Management Department at SCEE (NICE) from October 2012 to June 2023. Dr. Hamza received his BSc Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore in 1984. In 1992 and 2010, he received his MSc Civil Engineering Degree in Construction Management from the University of Birmingham, UK and PhD (Applied Hydrology) from the Charles Sturt University (CSU), New South Wales, Australia respectively. Before joining NUST, Dr. Hamza has served at the Centre of Excellence in Water Resources Engineering (CEWRE), UET, Lahore from August 1984 to February 2004. Dr. Hamza has a multidisciplinary teaching and research experience of over 35 years in water resources management, water resources engineering, engineering hydrology and construction project management. He has supervised over 100 MSc/MPhil theses in various disciplines of civil engineering and has published over 100 international and national journal /conference papers.
