A delegation from the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), Thailand, comprising of Mr. Bill Ho (Team Lead), Mr. Nurul Alam (Resilient Infrastructure Specialist), and Dr. Naeem Shehzad (Local representative, ADPC), visited the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (SCEE) at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad on 31 October 2024. The delegation was provided with a comprehensive briefing on NUST’s mission, achievements, and the academic and research capabilities of SCEE, NUST.

The visit featured a discussion session where both parties explored avenues for mutual collaboration. Representatives from SCEE highlighted the diverse expertise available within the school, opening dialogue on potential areas of joint projects and knowledge exchange that could benefit both institutions. This interaction marks a promising step towards strengthening international partnerships and expanding the scope of disaster preparedness and resilience efforts through academic collaboration.
