Mr. Kashif Gardezi from Sika Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd delivered a lecture to UG CE-2022 batch providing a fundamental overview of “Construction Chemicals and Concrete”. Mr. Kashif outlined the evolution of admixtures, focusing particularly on plasticizers and superplasticizers, spanning from earlier generations to the latest advancements. He discussed the historical progression of admixture development, highlighting the advantages, limitations, and application suitability of each generation. Additionally, He introduced new software tools developed by Sika, such as Sika Sand and Sika Concrete. These applications streamline tasks like sieve analysis and concrete mix design.
