Research area: 1. Synthesis of green, sustainable and innovative materials including biosorbents for contaminants removal from water. 2. Agricultural waste and biomass valorization to produce value-added products including biochar via pyrolysis. 3. Heavy metals removal from water and wastewater streams. 4. Nutrient recovery from eutrophic water streams for sustainable agricultural practices. 5. Remediation of post-release of nanoparticles (NPs) in water and unraveling of the fate, mobility, and removal behavior of toxic NPs in water.
