Professor
Summary

Professor Dr. Muhammad Nasir Amin has obtained his Ph.D. (Mar 2006 - Jan 2010) and M.Sc. (Mar 2004 - Feb 2006) degrees from world's top ranked university (KAIST, South Korea, ranked 21st in IT and Engineering in world ranking by times-2009) in civil engineering with specialty of Materials & structural engineering. He obtained his BSc degree (Jan 2000 - Feb 2004) in Civil Engineering from UET Lahore, Pakistan. Professor Dr. Muhammad Nasir Amin has extensive 16-years of university level integrated teaching and research experience, and community partnership (NUST-PAK Feb 2010-Sept 2011, KFU-KSA Sept 2011-Sept 2024, and NUST-PAK Oct 2024-to date). During his 13-years services at King Faisal University-KSA (KFU), he significantly contributed to undergraduate and graduate level curriculum developments and accreditation activities of civil engineering program by international (ABET-EAC) and local (NCAAA institutional) bodies. As the head of the ABET committee for civil engineering program at KFU, he led the initial ABET accreditation (2015-2021) and re-accreditation (2021-2027) of civil engineering program. He received several awards (certificates and shields) in recognition of implementing high quality practices in terms of teaching students, community engagement, and research in different areas of the civil engineering. (6 US patents, 200 ISI and SCOPUS indexed publications in reputable civil engineering journals mostly Q1, 20 conference papers, secured more than 20 research grants of worth 3M USD as PI). His H-index is 53 with over 8000 citations, i10-index is 160 and cumulative impact factor over 800+. For last three consecutive years (2023, 2024, 2025), he has been listed among World's Top 2% Most Influential Scientists in Stanford University updated database [most prestigious ranking in the world, Ioannidis et al., 2019], which is indeed an honor and motivation for him to excel further in academic teaching, research excellence and innovation.
