Summary

Dr. Iram Gul is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Sciences at SCEE (IESE), NUST, having joined in 2024. She completed her PhD in Environmental Science from SCEE (IESE), NUST in 2019 and previously served as an Assistant Professor at Hazara University, Mansehra, Pakistan from 2020 to 2024. During her tenure at Hazara University, she successfully led two projects: "the establishment of an Integrated Resource Recovery Center (IRRC) at Hazara University, Mansehra, Pakistan", and "the selection of multi-metal hyperaccumulator plants, effects of heavy metals on plant uptake and tolerance". Dr. Iram Gul has gained international research experience at McGill University, Canada, and Ecolab, Toulouse, France. Her research has been published in esteemed international journals, and she has contributed extensively to book chapters on solid waste management, nanotechnology, and heavy metals. She has also played a key role in organizing international conferences. Her research interests include soil remediation, plant-microbe interactions, food security, nanotechnology, environmental monitoring and toxicology. Dr. Iram Gul remains committed to advancing sustainable environmental solutions through impactful research and collaboration. She has performed several institutional duties like DCE, Lab incharge of FYDP, faculty sponsor of NUST Environment Club (NEC) and focal person of Prime Minister Green Youth Movement Club at NUST.
